Digital Printing

Digital textile printing reproduces full colour images from digital designs or scanned photographs. We can print on to a wide range of pre-prepared natural fibre fabrics such as cottons, cotton-velvets, silks, canvas, crepes, linens, etc and also on to synthetic, polyester based fabrics using reactive inks for the natural fibres and dye sublimation inks for polyesters.

File prep
The preferred file for digital printing is a TIFF but we can also use Illustrator files or Photoshop (JPEG, PSD). We then convert to LAB colour for the printer software. If you want to convert to LAB colour please make sure that the layers of your artwork are flattened and the final version is saved as .tiff

•If unsure please just supply a JPG. PSD or EPS file.

•Please provide your files at high resolution. This should be 250 dpi and up to a maximum of 300 dpi. Low resolution files CAN be printed but the effect / quality will be pixelated (grainy).

•Please allow for between 5 and 10% shrinkage in the washing process. If your artwork has to be an exact size please allow for this.

Greta Macbeth - Spectrophotometer

A very specialised digital camera, the Greta Macbeth Spectrophotometer evaluates and analyses the colours of printed fabrics or your samples so that the final printed colours of the fabrics are colour matched. This ensures colour continuity and quality for your products from one print run to the next.
